Comics Education Outreach

Comics Education Outreach (CEO) is a program of Pop Culture Classroom that provides a means for teachers to incorporate comics and graphic novels into their classroom. We offer professional development, lesson guides, comic/graphic novel reviews, and the CEO Lending Library. We believe that comics are more than just a gateway to literacy; they can be the vehicle for deeper engagement.

Lending Libraries

The Comics Education Outreach is in the process of creating, and always expanding, a graphic novel/comics lending library to support teachers and schools in need. Lending libraries will contain a classroom set of graphic novels as well as supplemental teaching materials for the selected title(s). Applications for the lending libraries will be available in April 2017.

If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation of graphic novels to these Lending Libraries, please review our wishlist on Amazon at http://a.co/d16HgsO. Please ship all donations to our office: Pop Culture Classroom, 1391 Speer Blvd, Suite 360, Denver, CO 80204.

Classroom Resource Blog

The Classroom Resource Blog section of the site will offer up classroom ideas, graphic novel/comic resources suggestions, and the somewhat organized rantings of the CEO. All posts are designed to inspire and affect creative teaching practices and methodologies.
