Frances Wisebart Jacobs, Issue #18

Issue #18 portrays the life of Colorado pioneer Frances Wisebart Jacobs, a former schoolteacher and daughter of Bavarian-Jewish immigrants who spent her life helping the less fortunate. She was the founder of numerous charitable organizations, including The United Way and Denver’s Jewish Hospital Association, earning her the nickname “Mother of Charities.”
