Her professional career began at the magazine Library Journal, where she rose from Editorial Assistant to Managing Editor, running the News division and writing feature articles.

In 1987 she married Carr D’Angelo and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the entertainment business. While there she developed the pilot “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.” for the Fox network.

Susan then worked as a producer and screenwriter for many years, setting up projects at Universal Studios, Disney Channel, and other companies.

Since 2003, she and Carr have owned and operated Earth-2 Comics, with locations in Sherman Oaks and Northridge. She runs the monthly art class S.C.R.A.W.L.
