Beginning this month, Pop Culture Classroom is offering FREE drop-in times in our new classroom!
These drop-ins are a time for students, ages 8-18, to come over to Pop Culture Classroom, hang out and create with our resources. We want to provide students with a safe space to read and do their homework, take workshops, play games, and work on their artistic and social skills.
The hours for these drop-ins will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3pm-6pm.
From 4pm-5pm on these days, we’ll feature a pop-culture themed workshop, with a different theme each month. April’s themes are Comic Book Tuesdays and Game Design Thursdays.
The rest of the drop-in time is for students to hang out!
And if your students need additional time at our offices, we’re also hosting special workshops and events on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Wednesdays will be geared towards older students, with programs like professional development. Fridays will be focused on pop-culture themed workshops taught by PCC instructors and guest artists.
(The first of these Friday workshops will be instruction on how to make Whovian time travel props from a very popular British television show. 🙂 )
