We’re excited to be offering ED 589 for another year at Denver Pop Culture Con!

If you haven’t heard about it previously, ED 589 is a course offered exclusively at Denver Pop Culture Con in partnership with Adams State University. The course is Enhancing Education Through Pop Culture and counts as a 0.5 graduate credit.

All throughout the con weekend, those enrolled in the course can share ideas, build partnerships, and learn from leaders in the field of pop culture education. Students can participate in workshops and panels, access resources for their classrooms, and develop the ability to utilize pop culture as an educational tool.

To complete the course, participants must attend at least 7.5 hours of qualifying conference content at DPCC, record the names of each panel/workshop, and complete a Conference Feedback Form. The course itself is Pass/Fail, and previous participants are welcome to take it again, as the panels and content will be different from previous years.

If you’re looking for more ideas on how to incorporate pop culture media into your curriculum, we highly suggest that you consider applying for this course. Not only will you get to learn a lot in a few short days, you’ll also get to experience the wonder of Denver Pop Culture Con!

Participation in the course only costs $95, the same as a normal 3-Day Adult Badge. Don’t worry about any additional fees or charges – we know budgets are often tight for educators.

Make sure to apply by May 21st to take part in the course! CLICK HERE TO APPLY.
