Denver Comic Con is pleased to announce that tickets to DCC 2016 go on sale Friday, 6 November at 10:00 a.m. MST!
Here’s some information you need to know before you purchase.
1. As you may already know, the City of Denver is contracted with a ticketing company called AXS, which we must use to sell tickets for this event.
2. We want you to know how your money is distributed in the prices you pay:
a. The stated ticket price is the base price PLUS the Denver FDA tax (this is why the prices seem to have gone up significantly but they have not – the City requires us to include this tax inside the ticket price). You can learn more about this 10% tax on all tickets here.
b. Other charges that will be added to the stated ticket price are fees charged by AXS, which are also out of our control, as well as any add-on features, such as badge mailing.
c. The base price on all tickets go directly to supporting Pop Culture Classroom and its mission.
3. Here are the different ticket types and prices; please note that these prices are the base ticket plus the 10% FDA tax and do not include additional fees to be charged by AXS:
a. 3-Day Badge – $82.50
b. Friday Badge – $38.50
c. Saturday Badge – $44.00
d. Sunday Badge – $44.00
e. Child Badge – $8.25
i. New this year! Child badges are universal; can be used one, two or all three days, can only be used for children ages 3-11 (2 and under are free), and all children in this age group must be attended by parent or guardian at all times.
f. Speed Pass – $176.00
i. Speed Pass grants the holder exclusive, first-access line to the convention each day, a dedicated, first-served line for Main Events (does not include other panel rooms), and front-of-line access for autographs. It does not include photo ops, as this is a third-party vendor.
4. Box office and badge mailing options:
a. Another NEW option this year is that AXS has created a box office option for the purchase of tickets, where you can avoid some fees and/or pay for tickets with cash rather than a card.
i. This occurs at Denver Coliseum on Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., starting the Saturday after tickets go on sale up to the Saturday prior to the event.
b. Badge mailing is an option up to the cutoff point that will happen approximately six weeks out from the event. We strongly suggest you choose this option, as it will allow you to receive your badges by mail and avoid having to stand in line twice on the day of the event. AXS will charge $4.25 for this service.
5. We’re open all day on Friday and an hour later on Sunday this year! Hours for DCC 2016 are as follows: Friday 10-7, Saturday 10-7 and Sunday 10-6.
