Denver Pop Culture Con (DPCC), Denver’s largest consumer convention and a program of education-nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom (PCC), today announced it is bringing Jeffrey Dean Morgan to this weekend’s event at the Colorado Convention Center on Sunday, June 19.

Morgan has played a number of notable pop-culture roles in his career, including John Winchester in the CW’s “Supernatural,” the Comedian in the film adaption of Alan Moore’s “Watchmen,” Negan in AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” and most recently as Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s father, in DC’s “Batman v. Superman.”

Morgan made his appearance on as Negan in the The Walking Dead’s season six finale and will be playing the primary antagonist during season seven.

“I can’t remember a more anticipated character in television than The Walking Dead’s Negan,” said Christina Angel, Denver Pop Culture Con director. “I also can’t imagine anyone else playing him, and we’re delighted to be able to bring him to Denver Pop Culture Con on Sunday.”

Morgan has also had roles in “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Good Wife,” “Magic City,” “The Losers,” and an uncredited role in “Jonah Hex.”

“Morgan is a last-minute addition to the line-up—the con starts on Friday, June 17 and tickets are already in short-supply. If you’re a fan and want to see Jeffrey, you’ll want to move quickly on getting a Sunday pass.”

Morgan joins previously announced guests in the 2016 Denver Pop Culture Con lineup including Stan Lee (Marvel Comics), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Clark Gregg (Agents of SHIELD), Karl Urban (Star Trek, Judge Dredd, Thor), Ralph Macchio (Karate Kid and The Outsiders), C. Thomas Howell (The Outsiders), William Zabka and Martin Kove (Karate Kid), and Jenna Coleman and Alex Kingston (Doctor Who), among many other comic book creators and pop culture celebrities.
