July 31 Summer PopUP Event in Parker Brings Together Local Businesses, Nonprofits

Organizers Promise “Day of Creativity, Learning, and Fun for the Whole Family”

(Parker, CO, July 15, 2021) — The education and pop culture community nonprofit Pop Culture Classroom today announced local partners for its Summer PopUP celebration in Parker, CO on July 31.

“Local businesses and nonprofits are coming together to create a really special event for the Parker community,” said Tajshen Campbell, Programming and Partnerships Manager for Pop Culture Classroom, in a prepared statement.

“If you — or your family — have been missing the chance to connect with other people who share your interest in comics, movies and tv, gaming, and other pop culture, this is your chance to break out your favorite costumes, cosplay, or fan gear and have some affordable family fun.”

Parker’s Hall of Justice Comics and Collectibles is the presenting sponsor for the event and will be giving away free comic books at PopUP. Canvas Credit Union is the programming sponsor and Douglas County Libraries is sponsoring a family-friendly reading room.

Pop Culture Classroom’s team of arts and creative professionals – along with partner organizations from across the Front Range –will offer workshops, panel discussions, career talks, and live demonstrations during the event. According to PopUP organizers, attendees will also have the opportunity to:

  • Unleash their imaginations and create comics and play games with Pop Culture Classroom
  • Dance like a superhero with the Colorado Ballet
  • Travel through history with the Aurora History Museum‘s Escape Room
  • Sprint and tumble through the fast-paced world of World Tag with APEX Denver
  • Soar into the world of air and space with Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum
  • Find your inner-fairy and create floral crowns with professional artists and cosplayers
  • Delve into the world of sci-fi and fantasy to create amazing stories 
  • Explore career opportunities in pop culture with industry experts in art, design, writing, and comics
