The Pop Culture Classroom Kids’ Lab at Denver Pop Culture Con is beyond excited to host another year of wonderful panels all weekend long! This year’s panel lineup is jam-packed with all sorts of amazing content, and we look forward to experiencing it with you during DPCC weekend, June 15-17, 2018.

During the 2018 event, be sure to stop by the PCC Kids’ Lab to visit our two amazing areas – The All Age Stage and the 8-Bit Lounge! The All Age Stage boasts more content for young kids, while the 8-Bit Lounge focuses more on content for teens 12 and up.

Throughout the weekend, each of these areas will host a full schedule of panels, workshops, lectures and so much more! You’ll get the chance to meet and hear from guests from all across the pop culture multiverse – musicians, artists, authors, celebrities, stunt coordinators, and so many more – all eager to share their insights, experiences and art with fans.

So no matter when you come or who you see at the Kids’ Lab this year, you’re sure to have a great time learning and experiencing what our multitude of panelists have to offer!

The All Age Stage Is Back and Better than Ever!

We love our All Age Stage, and we think that you will too. Sponsored by Lion Forge Comics in 2018, The All Age Stage is the best place to nerd out with fans of all ages!

Featuring a nonstop schedule of activities, crafts, experiments, readings and how-to sessions, the 2018 All Age Stage will host an incredible lineup of creators, artists and special guests all weekend long –  all geared towards kids and families!

This year, stage presenters ready to blow your minds include the likes of everyone from NASA, who’ll be talking about Jupiter’s “Small” Moons; to Garfield creator Jim Davis, who’ll be teaching kids how to draw the lasagna-loving feline; to an all-star lineup of Scholastic ready to teach you how to draw your very own comics like the pros!

But that’s not all! Be sure to also check out our other panels featuring yoga, stunt demos for kids, character creation, sports, voice acting, and cosplay… among so many more. No matter your interests and passions, we’ve got something for you at the Lab this year! Even better, you’ll walk away from all our panels with a one-of-a-kind experience, plus new knowledge and skills to show off to your family and friends!

So no matter if you’ve got a young artist, an up-and-coming creator or an aspiring film star coming with you to Denver Pop Culture Con this year, make sure to bring them to The All Age Stage during DPCC’18!

The 8-Bit Lounge is Your Con Spot for Teens!

Our 8-Bit Lounge is back in action and ready to help you tap into your pop culture passions! Sponsored by Art Institute of Colorado in 2018, the 8-Bit Lounge is for teens (ages 12 and up) looking to learn first-hand from artists, scientists, musicians, inventors, educators and community leaders. This year, the Lounge is your one-stop-shop for learning about careers in the Arts, STEM, music and much more in these exciting and engaging panels!

This year’s 8-Bit Lounge will emphasize diversity, unity, comics, and careers in STEM and the Arts. Visit the Lab throughout the weekend to join all-star panelists as they examine representation in different realms of pop culture and discuss how they launched their careers into art, science, comedy, voice acting, indie comics, community organizing and much more!

Amazing panels featured in the 8-Bit Lounge include Teen Writers:  Overcoming Insecurity and How to Think Up Ideas, focused on finding motivation and inspiration for your own writing, along with panels like POC Nerds Unite in the Lab: Importance of Representation in Nerddoms and Girls – You Can Have a Pop Culture Career Too!, where attendees can ask a panel of pros questions about on how to be successful in these fields no matter your background. Plus plenty more surprises in store!
