What’s your favorite Harry Potter book? Do you remember what it felt like when you first read it? Well, at Denver Pop Culture Con this year, Scholastic is hoping to help you feel that magic and excitement all over again, right in our Pop Culture Classroom Kids’ Laboratory!
At DPCC’18, Scholastic is offering a range of exciting and interactive activities that will celebrate 20 Years of Magic with Harry Potter and give kids of all ages the chance to join the fun, including:
- The Harry Potter Muggle Wall, where fans of all ages are invited to write what Harry Potter means to them!
- Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone Photo Op, where you can become part of the book, with a life–sized recreation of the original cover!
- As a bonus, attendees can post their photos on social media and have a chance to win a Harry Potter 20th Anniversary Collectible Box Set signed by cover Illustrator Brian Selznick! Yes, you heard that right – you can win 1 of 10 boxed sets containing the complete best-selling Harry Potter series, books 1-7 by J.K. Rowling, with brand new covers and box art created by Caldecott Medalist Brain Selznick! So be sure to visit Scholastic’s booth in the PCC Kids’ Lab this weekend to find out more!
- On top of that, Scholastic will also host daily giveaways in the Kids Lab, handing out Harry Potter posters, pins, and other fun freebies for lucky attendees!
- Last but not least, The Scholastic Klutz team will also be in the Lab all weekend long with interactive activities from the Klutz maker’s Lab kit, including a build-your-own gumball machine, circuit game, and mini bakeshop!
