Colorado Gives Day is Tuesday, December 6. Give where you live and help inspire, educate, and connect Colorado kids using the comics, games, and the pop culture they love.
By Matt Hess, Executive Director
I know you share my passion for inspiring a love of learning. That’s why I’m asking for your help in the lead-up to Colorado Gives Day, the Centennial State’s biggest day of charitable giving in support of community groups like Pop Culture Classroom.
2022 has been a challenging year for all of us in education. Educators have worked incredibly hard to increase engagement and a love for reading —whether at home or in person. Parents have juggled changing employment and educational landscapes, and kids are growing up in a world that’s asking a lot of them.
I joined the Pop Culture Classroom team as Executive Director back in September, and I quickly understood what you might already know:
With math and reading scores down and school absenteeism increasing, Pop Culture Classroom’s innovative resources are especially needed now.
All year long, Pop Culture Classroom has been there to help, providing free tools and resources to make these challenges just a little bit easier (and a lot more fun). Now we need your help.
Colorado Gives Day: Give Where You Live
Each year — for 24 hours — Colorado comes together to raise fund raise funds for local nonprofits during Colorado Gives Day.
With YOUR support, Pop Culture Classroom can help inspire, educate, and connect Colorado kids using the comics, games, and the pop culture they love. This year, can you donate to Pop Culture Classroom’s efforts in local schools, Colorado communities, and online?
To keep our downloadable educational comics, graphic novel teaching guides, and other resources free and accessible, we need you!
- $35 Buys Workshop Supplies for Teachers and Students
- $140 Covers 1 hour of Programming at a Colorado school
- $300 Creates a Script for 1 issue of Colorful History
- $1,400 Pays for Art and Lettering of 1 issue of Colorful History
Your Colorado Gives Day donation will support the creation of more graphic novels, our teaching artists with supplies for workshops, community events, and so much more. Every gift is tax-deductible and helps us reach our Colorado Gives Day goal of raising $5,000 to support our programs and resources.
Even better — now through Colorado Gives Day (December 6) — your tax-deductible support of any amount also qualifies Pop Culture Classroom for the special Colorado Gives Day Incentive Fund, which would provide additional financial support for our award-winning programs.
Our mission to inspire, educate, and connect is more vital now than ever before. Please make your Colorado Gives Day donation to Pop Culture Classroom now.
