“Justice Ginsburg’s efforts on the Supreme Court — and her work to get there — fundamentally advanced gender equality in America,” said Matt Slayter, Director of Education at Pop Culture Classroom. “This comic and accompanying teaching guide are an easily approachable way for students to explore her importance and learn how our legal system works.”
Ruth Bader Ginsburg & U.S. Supreme Court is available for free download now:
The comic was written and drawn by Ally Shwed (Why the People, Fault Lines in the Constitution) and lettered by R. Alan Brooks. Pop Culture Classroom has included Common Core Standards-aligned project ideas, discussion questions, media pairings, and more resources to help students learn about Justice Ginsburg’s legacy, the struggle for gender equality in law, and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Ruth Bader Ginsburg & U.S. Supreme Court is the latest in Pop Culture Classroom’s Colorful History series of original educational comics and accompanying teaching guides. Seventy-seven issues spanning a range of classroom-ready topics are now available at PopCultureClassroom.org/comics.
